TotalEnergies and Air France-KLM have reached a significant agreement for TotalEnergies to supply up to 1.5 million tonnes of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) over the next decade, aiming to reduce the environmental impact of air transport. This contract builds on a previous memorandum for 800,000 tonnes of SAF. Air France-KLM, a leading SAF user, plans to cut CO2 emissions per passenger/km by 30% by 2030. The SAF will be produced from waste materials in TotalEnergies' biorefineries and will be used for flights departing from various European countries.
