Frankfurt Airport introduces Smart Pick-up for the digital transfer of cargo.

The air cargo IT company allivate has launched Smart Pick-up at Frankfurt Airport, a digital process that replaces paper documentation with digital coordination for import shipments. This system, part of the Cargo Community System FAIR@link, enhances the efficiency and security of cargo handovers by allowing digital authorization for pick-up. Currently in its pilot phase with major logistics players, Smart Pick-up enables pre-arrival customs clearance and reduces manual errors by consolidating information into one interface. Full deployment is expected by late 2025, transforming cargo handling into a streamlined digital experience.
