In week 15 (April 7-13), global tonnage improved by three percent following a seven percent decline the previous week, as markets reopened after the Eid-al-Fitr holiday. Despite this rebound, demand remains impacted by uncertainties surrounding U.S. trade policies. Year-on-year tonnage rose by nine percent due to last year's Eid festival, but a six percent decline in chargeable weight was observed compared to the previous two weeks. Notably, volumes to the U.S. fell three percent for the second consecutive week, with a significant downturn from China and Hong Kong, raising doubts about future recovery amid ongoing trade tensions.
