Hactl and HKT are set to introduce Hong Kong's inaugural 5G smart cargo terminal.

Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) has teamed up with HKT to introduce the first air cargo terminal in Hong Kong powered by a private 5G network. This initiative aims to enhance automation and logistics efficiency, solidifying Hong Kong's status as a key international aviation hub. Hactl, which handled over 40% of cargo at Hong Kong International Airport in 2024, will benefit from real-time operations of Autonomous Electric Tractors and improved security through AI-powered patrol robots. This collaboration marks a pivotal advancement in air cargo logistics and digital transformation.
