Cathay Cargo Terminal becomes the first in Asia to receive IATA SeMS certification.

On March 21, 2025, Hong Kong's Cathay Cargo Terminal became the first ground-handling facility in Asia to achieve the highest initial level of the IATA Security Management System (SeMS) certification, reinforcing its leadership in air cargo logistics. This certification indicates exceptional management of aviation security risks and regulatory compliance. COO Mark Watts highlighted investments in advanced security technologies, while IATA's Nick Careen praised the terminal for integrating SeMS principles into its operations. The certification will be formally presented at the IATA World Cargo Symposium in Dubai on April 15, 2025.
