Nissan Motor Corp. has signed a $661 million agreement with SK On to enhance electric vehicle (EV) production in North America. Under the deal, SK On will supply Nissan with approximately 100 GWh of high-nickel batteries from 2028 to 2033 for use at its Canton, Mississippi assembly plant. This partnership aims to expand Nissan's U.S. EV manufacturing capabilities, building on a previous $500 million investment in the facility and plans to launch 16 new EV models over the next three years. This marks SK On's first supply agreement with a Japanese automaker.
