Cathay Cargo anticipates an increase in demand while closely monitoring fluctuations.

In February 2025, Cathay Cargo transported 119,707 tonnes of cargo, marking an 11.8% increase from the previous year. Available freight tonne kilometres rose by 3.5%, while revenue freight tonne kilometres grew by 1%, and load factor fell by 1.4 percentage points. For the first two months of 2025, total tonnage increased by 12.8% to 250,278 tonnes. Demand began slowly due to the Lunar New Year but improved by the end of February. Cathay Pacific plans to enhance freighter frequencies in March and will introduce new flights to Hyderabad and Urumqi later this year.
