cargo-partner, part of Nippon Express Holdings, is enhancing automation at its iLogistics Centre in Vienna by introducing a new AutoStore system, set to launch in mid-2025. Collaborating with Fraunhofer, they've begun structural modifications to accommodate this system, which optimizes logistics by stacking bins efficiently, maximizing storage capacity, and allowing for flexible operations. Project Manager Krisztián Haslinger noted that this system will streamline operations to meet customer demands more sustainably, while Team Leader Barbara Marais highlighted its potential to automate repetitive tasks, enabling focus on complex activities.
