Global air freight rates are on the rise again, with the TAC Index reporting a 2.3% increase for the week ending March 17, marking a 4.3% gain over the past year. Rates from China to Europe and North America saw an uptick, aligning with last year's levels. Notably, outbound routes from Hong Kong increased by 1.2% week-on-week and 7.9% year-on-year, while Shanghai surged by 7% week-on-week but only 1.1% year-on-year. In Europe, rates generally rose, particularly from London Heathrow, despite a notable drop from Frankfurt due to lower rates to Southeast Asia.
