Swissport International has enhanced its flower corridor infrastructure for transporting fresh flowers from Kenya to Europe, ensuring a temperature-controlled process that can extend shelf life by up to a week. This Valentine’s season, Swissport anticipates handling over 250 million flowers at its Nairobi center, utilizing 35 additional freighter flights, a 50% increase in volume. The flower corridor, first launched in Kenya, has now been introduced in Amsterdam and Liège, with significant investments aimed at improving logistics and maintaining quality for timely deliveries during key floral events.
