Cathay Cargo implements the IATA ONE Record data standard.

Cathay Cargo has become the first airline to implement the IATA's ONE Record data protocol in its operations with freight forwarders. It is now exchanging electronic air waybill (eAWB) and shipment status information via API with three mainland Chinese freight forwarders. Sinotrans Hong Kong Air Transportation Development is the first Hong Kong forwarder to utilize this system. Cathay Cargo's Director Tom Owen emphasized the commitment to digitalizing air cargo processes and the advantages of operational efficiency, security, and transparency that ONE Record offers, with a target implementation deadline of January 2026.
