In December 2024, Cathay Pacific transported 143,564 tonnes of cargo, marking an 11.7% increase from December 2023. Revenue tonne kilometres rose by 6.5%, while the cargo load factor improved by 0.6 percentage points to 61.4%. For the full year 2024, cargo volume grew by 11% to 1.5 million tonnes, with revenue tonne kilometres up 5%. Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau noted strong demand for e-commerce, perishables, and machinery. Looking ahead, demand is expected to soften briefly before increasing for the Lunar New Year.
