RZD starts a project for the transportation of molasses.

RZD Logistics has initiated a project for the intermodal delivery of molasses via the International North-South Corridor, enhancing its transport capabilities from Rostov-on-Don to Iran. The first shipment, consisting of 300 tons in six tank-containers, was successfully transported by rail from the North Caucasus to Azerbaijan, where it was transferred to trucks for final delivery in Iran. This new method, previously reliant on road transport, aims to boost Russian agricultural exports, with a long-term contract targeting over 20,000 tons by 2025.
