In November 2024, total air cargo demand surged by 8.2% compared to the previous year, marking the 16th consecutive month of growth, with international operations seeing a 9.5% increase. Capacity also rose by 4.6%, with international operations at 6.5%. IATA's Director General, Willie Walsh, noted favorable conditions, including lower fuel costs and a 7.8% yield growth. Regional performance varied, with Asia-Pacific leading at 13.2% demand growth, while Africa faced a 0.7% decline. International routes benefited from increased e-commerce demand amidst shipping capacity constraints.
