Cargo handled at Liege Airport increased by 16% in November.

Liege Airport (LGG) experienced a 16% rise in cargo tonnage in November, reaching 112,106 tonnes compared to 96,497 tonnes the previous year. Cargo aircraft movements also increased by 12.6%, totaling 2,586. Torsten Wefers, VP of Sales & Marketing, noted these figures mark the highest levels of 2024 and highlighted the airport's exceptional performance. Additionally, LGG's cargo airline portfolio grew by 20% to 49 freighter carriers, and nearly 60 logistics companies are now based there. The air freight market remains strong, driven by high demand from Asia and a surge in e-commerce.
