Ocean Network Express (ONE) has formed a joint venture with South Korea’s LX Pantos, named Boxlinks, to enhance its intermodal transportation services in the U.S. This venture will utilize partnerships with major rail and trucking companies, including agreements with Union Pacific, Norfolk Southern, and BNSF. Boxlinks aims to optimize the use of empty containers for intermodal operations and to provide customized, cost-effective services for U.S. customers, enhancing efficiency and addressing inland-to-coastal transport needs. ONE’s goal is to create a more resilient inland network, benefiting domestic customers.
