Three global ocean container lines—Ocean Network Express, HMM, and Yang Ming Marine—have announced the formation of the Premier Alliance, effective February 2025, which will last for five years. This alliance aims to enhance mainline services across key East-West trade routes, strengthening collaboration to provide reliable container services. Additionally, the Premier Alliance will partner with Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) for slot exchange in Asia-Europe trade. This restructuring follows significant changes in carrier alliances, allowing MSC to improve service frequency while maintaining cooperation with other carriers.
