McCormick & Co. is proactively addressing potential disruptions from recent port strikes on the U.S. East and Gulf Coasts, having developed mitigation plans since April, according to President and CEO Brendan Foley. The company is closely monitoring the situation to ensure supply continuity. The International Longshoremen’s Association began striking on October 1 after failing to finalize a contract with the United States Maritime Alliance, leading to terminal closures and raising supply chain concerns. Foley urges both parties to reach an agreement swiftly to avoid long-term repercussions.
