McCormick & Co. is addressing the financial impact of U.S. import tariffs on China by implementing operational cutbacks and raising prices, according to CFO Marcos Gabriel. Despite the uncertainty of the current trade policies, the company aims to make targeted price adjustments and leverage cost savings from its improvement plan. Currently, McCormick is not seeing significant sales declines but anticipates that currency fluctuations may negatively affect sales and earnings. The company, with operations in 29 countries, reported a 3% increase in consumer sales for the Americas.
