Maersk Air Cargo has received its second Boeing 777 freighter, OY-MAD, marking the completion of its order for two such aircraft aimed at modernizing its fleet. The new freighter, which will operate soon, joins the first Boeing 777F, OY-MAC, delivered in July. With the addition of these freighters, Maersk’s fleet now consists of 22 aircraft, including 20 Boeing 767Fs. The Boeing 777Fs are designed for long-haul operations and will enhance capacity on routes between Europe and China. Maersk reported a significant revenue increase in its logistics sector for Q3 2024.
