Lufthansa Cargo is investing nearly €600 million to modernize the Lufthansa Cargo Centre (LCC) at Frankfurt Airport by 2030, making it Europe’s most advanced air freight hub. The project, inaugurated with a ceremony attended by various stakeholders, aims to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability in air freight operations. CEO Ashwin Bhat emphasized the need for innovative solutions to meet evolving market demands. The modernization includes updates to cargo handling, storage technology, and IT systems across a vast area, while operations continue uninterrupted, supported by partner companies.
