Lufthansa Cargo has implemented an internally developed software solution to automate the entry of email booking requests into its system using AI and robotic process automation. This innovation allows for quicker processing of customer requests and immediate booking confirmations, enhancing efficiency and reducing data entry errors. The majority of direct bookings are already made online, but many inquiries still arrive in unstructured formats. The new automated process saves time for employees and enables better customer interaction. Lufthansa Cargo is also expanding its automation efforts across other product groups and has a dedicated team evaluating new projects.
