Lucid Group has strengthened its domestic supply chain by signing a second agreement with Graphite One to source U.S.-made materials for lithium-ion batteries. This agreement will provide natural graphite from Alaska’s Graphite Creek deposit, with production expected to start in 2028. This deal complements a previous contract where Graphite One will supply processed graphite for battery anodes. Lucid aims to localize critical supplies, enhancing economic independence and reducing carbon footprints as part of its strategy to navigate tariff uncertainties in battery production.
