In September 2024, Liege Airport outperformed its previous year in both aircraft movements and cargo tonnage, marking nine consecutive months of growth. Cargo aircraft movements increased by 18% to 2,267, while tonnage rose 11% from 80,282 tons to 89,338 tons. Internationally, increases in tonnages and rates are primarily driven by the Asia Pacific and MESA markets, which may strain the air cargo system in Q4. Additionally, Liege Airport hosted the “EU Cross Border E-Commerce Forum,” attracting around 650 decision-makers to discuss e-commerce’s impact on logistics and capacity.
