Lhyfe, a leader in green hydrogen production, and Elyse Energy have partnered to develop the Green Coast project, which aims to produce e-methanol from renewable hydrogen in the Nantes Saint-Nazaire industrial port area. This initiative is crucial for decarbonizing the maritime transport sector and aligns with regional efforts to transition away from fossil fuels. The project plans to produce 150,000 tonnes of e-methanol annually, supporting job creation and fostering a low-carbon economy. It also contributes to the broader Loire Estuaire Décarbonation strategy, with initial feasibility studies expected by 2025.
