Levi Strauss & Co. is revising its water strategy to decrease freshwater usage by 15% in its garment manufacturing supply chain by 2030, based on a 2022 baseline. The company plans to recycle and reuse 40% of water in its manufacturing processes and aims for all direct discharge supplier facilities to meet the foundational level of the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals Foundation by 2030. This updated strategy follows an earlier goal to cut freshwater use by 50% in high-water stress areas by 2025, which was only partially met.
