UPS is anticipating a less dynamic peak holiday season, with major shippers revising their volume forecasts downward due to the shortened shipping window, which is the shortest since 2019. CEO Carol Tomé noted that about 100 key customers have adjusted their projections, leading to concerns that more consumers may opt for in-store purchases instead of relying on delivery. Despite these challenges, UPS expects a solid Q4, benefiting from new contracts and peak season surcharges, indicating a potential increase in revenue compared to last year.
