La-Z-Boy’s CEO, Melinda Whittington, stated that the company is well-positioned for potential tariffs in 2025, largely due to its U.S.-based manufacturing. While La-Z-Boy has operations in Mexico, which could expose it to tariffs on goods from there, the company has historically mitigated these costs through surcharges to consumers. Although most of its products are finished in North America, La-Z-Boy sources over half of its cover fabric from suppliers in various countries, including China, making it vulnerable to tariffs on imports from that region.
