At the World Cargo Symposium, LATAM Cargo Group highlighted its sustainability efforts, particularly in waste management and wood reuse. The company’s strategy focuses on shared value, climate change, and a circular economy, implementing simple yet effective solutions that enhance operational efficiency. In Miami, LATAM’s wood skid program has eliminated the need for 117 tons of new wood each year, while in Chile, plastic skids made from recycled materials have further reduced wood usage. Additionally, recovered wood is repurposed for community projects, collectively reclaiming over 600 tons annually across its operations.
