Los Angeles Port Police, in collaboration with the LAPD Commercial Crimes Unit, arrested a suspect linked to multiple chassis thefts at the Port of Los Angeles. The suspect was apprehended during an investigation at a Gardena facility, where 24 stolen chassis were recovered. Over several months, criminals had been stealing chassis from container terminals, altering them, and selling them as new, generating millions in revenue. Lieutenant Rosario Ferrara emphasized the importance of stopping these thefts at the busiest U.S. port and indicated that the investigation is ongoing.
