The International Air Transport Association (IATA) and FIATA have announced FIATA’s endorsement of the IATA Cargo Handling Manual (ICHM) after a year of collaboration. The ICHM standardizes procedures for airlines, ground handling agents, and freight forwarders, enhancing efficiency and safety in air cargo operations. Brendan Sullivan from IATA highlighted that this standardization benefits the global supply chain, while Stéphane Graber from FIATA noted its importance for freight forwarders of all sizes, ensuring faster processes and improved service while prioritizing safety and security.
