Honda Motor Co. plans to increase electric vehicle production in the U.S. as part of its long-term strategy to enhance its position in the North American EV market and mitigate potential import tariffs proposed by President-elect Donald Trump. Despite concerns about possible tax credit cuts, Honda remains committed to retooling its Ohio manufacturing sites for EVs. The company is also evaluating its production in Mexico, where it produces about 200,000 vehicles annually, with around 80% sent to the U.S., while remaining open to negotiations regarding any new tariffs.
