The Federal Maritime Commission announced that the Premier Alliance between HMM, Ocean Network Express (ONE), and Yang Ming Marine Transport became effective on Sunday, lasting for five years. Initially set to launch on December 12, 2024, the implementation was delayed after the FMC raised concerns about its competitive implications. The carriers submitted additional documentation to address these issues, leading the FMC to approve the alliance on December 26, 2024. This cooperation will enhance mainline services across key trade routes connecting Asia with North America and Europe.
