Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) has teamed up with HKT to introduce the first air cargo terminal in Hong Kong powered by a private 5G network. This initiative aims to enhance automation and logistics efficiency, solidifying Hong Kong’s status as a key international aviation hub. Hactl, which handled over 40% of cargo at Hong Kong International Airport in 2024, will benefit from real-time operations of Autonomous Electric Tractors and improved security through AI-powered patrol robots. This collaboration marks a pivotal advancement in air cargo logistics and digital transformation.
