General Motors has announced a $4 billion investment in its U.S. assembly plants over the next two years to enhance production of both gas and electric vehicles in Michigan, Kansas, and Tennessee. This funding follows a prior commitment of nearly $3 billion aimed at increasing domestic manufacturing amidst rising tariffs on imports. GM expects these investments will enable the production of 2 million vehicles annually in the U.S. and support American jobs. The company plans to build various popular models, including the Chevrolet Equinox and Blazer, while maintaining its focus on electric vehicle production.
