Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai has reversed its decision to suspend freighter operations initially set for August 16, 2025, stating that the issue has been amicably resolved and slots reinstated. This change was acknowledged by IATA’s Country Director, Amitabh Khosla, who praised Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) for maintaining cargo operations and establishing a coordination committee. Tensions had arisen between IATA and MIAL over the initial decision, which prompted discussions about regulatory concerns, including tariff determination and extending the regulatory control period.
