FedEx has agreed to purchase eight new Boeing 777 freighters and two used ones, set to be integrated into their fleet in 2026 and 2027. These fuel-efficient aircraft, acquired at favorable prices, will aid in fleet management and support a planned $1 billion in aircraft capital expenditures through FY26. The company aims to retire older, less efficient models like the MD-11 while focusing on premium market segments. In Q3 FY2025, FedEx reported a revenue increase to $22.2 billion, although net income declined, but anticipates reducing structural costs by over $4 billion by FY25.
