FedEx has launched a new 19,000 sq. ft freight facility at East Midlands Airport to enhance its UK and international networks, facilitating better access to markets in the U.S., EU, and Asia-Pacific. This facility, distinct from existing parcel operations, is designed to improve freight handling efficiency with multiple trailer docks and increased safety features, addressing rising demand. Managing Director Steve Johnson emphasized FedEx’s commitment to expansion in the UK, which aims to strengthen connections for businesses in the region and support global trade. FedEx operates in over 220 countries and has been active in the UK since 1984.
