FedEx has expanded its Sunday home delivery service to nearly two-thirds of the U.S. population, up from 50%, in response to increasing demand from major customers. This change allows FedEx to utilize its existing resources more efficiently without adding capacity. The company has already received commitments for over half a million packages weekly tied to this service. Although previous Sunday delivery efforts faced challenges, FedEx anticipates this expansion will be profitable by Q1 of fiscal 2026, enhancing its competitiveness against UPS, which does not offer Sunday delivery.
