FedEx has launched a new automated facility at its Memphis World Hub ahead of the holiday season, enhancing its logistics capabilities. This state-of-the-art, LEED-certified facility, which is part of a $1.5 billion modernization project, spans 1.3 million square feet and features advanced technology including six-sided scanning for efficient package processing. It can sort 56,000 packages per hour and handle over 450,000 daily, significantly improving sorting times and shipment speeds. Additionally, a new Hub Operations Command Center will oversee operations at this expansive facility.
