Emirates, the largest international airline, is commemorating 25 years of service in Chennai, a vital hub in its South India network. The airline’s cargo division, Emirates SkyCargo, has significantly connected local farmers and businesses to global markets, transporting 19,300 tonnes of goods last year, including perishables and pharmaceuticals. Since its inaugural flight in 2000, Emirates has flown over 10.7 million passengers between Dubai and Chennai. The airline continues to enhance Chennai’s connectivity, catering to various travel demands and supporting trade and cultural exchange.
