Emirates has become the first airline to join the Move to -15°C Coalition, a global initiative launched at COP28 to redefine frozen food temperature standards and cut energy consumption in the supply chain. The coalition aims to decrease frozen food temperatures from -18°C to -15°C while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Leveraging its expertise in handling perishable goods, Emirates SkyCargo will collaborate with various stakeholders to implement these changes. The coalition was established in 2023, following research supported by global logistics firms, and Emirates has also committed $200 million to sustainability efforts in aviation.
