Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW) has partnered with MRO Japan (MJP) to establish MJP as Japan’s first passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion site for new-generation Airbus narrowbody aircraft. MJP will act as a subcontractor for EFW, offering conversion services for the A320P2F/A321P2F programs, supported by comprehensive training in various operational areas. The first aircraft conversion is expected by late 2025. This collaboration aims to enhance EFW’s capabilities in the growing Japanese air cargo market, projected to expand significantly in the coming years.
