Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW) and HNA Aviation Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on A330 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversions. This partnership, announced at the China International Aviation and Aerospace Expo, will see EFW support HNA’s subsidiary, Grand China Aircraft Maintenance Services, in establishing P2F capabilities at Meilan International Airport. The first conversion will take place in Shanghai in early 2025, with further conversions at HNA’s facility. EFW aims to expand its presence in China, responding to the growing demand for air cargo solutions.
