ECS Group’s Spanish subsidiary, Genair, celebrates 35 years in the air cargo industry, having started in 1990 with just three employees and two airline clients. Over the years, Genair has expanded to five main offices, serving six airlines and over 350 freight forwarders. In 2024, it handled over 91,000 tonnes of export cargo. Since joining ECS in 1999, Genair has leveraged advanced digital tools to enhance operations. Under Managing Director Paco Ortega, it has strengthened its market position, now accounting for 25% of Spain’s air export market, while maintaining a strong focus on innovation and sustainability.
