ECS Group celebrates the 35th anniversary of its Spanish subsidiary, Genair, a leader in the air cargo industry since its founding in 1990 by Jesús Escolar. Initially starting with three employees and two airline clients, Genair has expanded nationwide, currently representing six airlines and serving over 350 freight forwarders. Since joining ECS Group in 1999, Genair has managed over 1.177 million tons of cargo and embraced digital transformation. Under Managing Director Paco Ortega, the company has achieved significant market penetration, now holding 25% of Spain’s air export market while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability and human values.
