Duluth Trading Co. is enhancing its automated fulfillment center in Adairsville, Georgia, to manage increased order volume and lower costs, as stated by President and CEO Sam Sato. The facility, which began operations last year, processed 64% more units over Thanksgiving compared to 2022, significantly improving delivery times. The company has closed its Dubuque, Iowa, facility, incurring $7.7 million in restructuring costs but expects annual savings of $5 million. Despite these efforts, Duluth reported a net loss of $28.5 million in Q3, attributing it to macroeconomic challenges and warm weather.
