Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd is set to acquire Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), significantly impacting the global aircraft leasing sector. The deal, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals, is anticipated to finalize in the first half of 2025. NAC, with over 30 years in business, has a fleet of 252 assets leased to around 60 airlines globally. Post-acquisition, DAE’s fleet will expand to approximately 750 aircraft valued at $22 billion, serving about 170 airline customers in 70 countries. CEO Firoz Tarapore expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, which will enhance customer solutions.
