DP World and Reliance Industries have partnered to create a logistics solution for the petrochemicals sector by transitioning product transport from road to rail. This new system connects Reliance’s Jamnagar plant to DP World’s inland container depot in Ahmedabad and the port of Mundra, effectively maintaining the same distance of approximately 700km but eliminating the challenges of road transport. The rail service can transport up to 1260 tonnes of cargo, significantly reducing costs and carbon emissions while enhancing supply chain efficiency and supporting Reliance’s sustainability goals.
