dnata has expanded its ground support equipment fleet at Dubai International Airport (DXB) by adding 14 new 180kVA electric ground power units (GPUs), which will account for 33% of GPU usage at the airport. This shift from diesel to electric power is expected to save approximately 550,000 liters of fuel annually. The $4 million investment is part of dnata’s commitment to enhancing environmental efficiency and reducing carbon emissions by 50% by 2030. Additionally, dnata has increased its renewable energy usage significantly and received IATA environmental management certification for its sustainability efforts.
